We are in Monts, France, in the Loire Valley. We are staying in an 18C mill (grain) on the River L’Indre. Our flat overlooks the mill river flow of water. Water wheels are long gone. This is incredible. Here are the pics:
Above, we are on the first floor behind the umbrella, looking back to the house from the back yard.
View from the yard, the canoe/kayak we took down river today.
Pic of the mill house from canoe on the river. Water flows under and between the two buildings. Our place is in the left building. All three are owned by our host David and Lise.
View from our deck this morning. Sun is coming up, fog on the river.
Liz in the canoe, facing old town, church, bridge with flowers and our house on the left.
Bridge in view, decorated with flowers, to the left of our building.
Water passing through the rocks to the left of the mill, from the bridge (flowers) and our house on the right.
View back towards town, train bridge, on our bike ride today.
Can you believe this? I can’t. Villages in France. Can’t be beat. It’s wine:thirty. Bye!
